Pharmacists on strike

Pharmacies will be closed today due to a 24-hour strike by pharmacists in opposition to an amendment that forces them to give social insurance funds a 3 percent discount when they accept payment for prescription drugs. The amendment to the law requires pharmacies to then recoup this money from pharmaceutical firms.
